"The story of MG (Morris Garages) began in 1924 in the UK. The origin of the brand's name - Morris Garages - can be traced back to 1921 when motor manufacturer William Morris hired Cecil Kimber. Established in 2017, MG Motor India is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SAIC Motor Corp. MG inaugurated its first manufacturing facility in September 2017 in Halol, Gujarat.
